A Tribute from our family to a pioneer, an innovator, a visionary, an African American woman.  The birth of M & M's (Mississippi Mary Home Cooking) began with Mary Stewart, a struggling mother of six, in Jackson, Mississippi.  Mary worked for many families as a care taker, mastering many traditional recipes that originated in the south.  After years of financial difficulty Mary decided to bring her family to California, where she worked in small restaurants as a cook, as time passed, Mary's amazing cooking became immensely popular.

The Torch of Success has been passed from generation to generation.  As the torch was passed on to Beverly Brinson from Mississippi Mary.  Today, Beverly Brinson, passes that same torch, to her daughter Toni Brinson and her son Jerry Brinson Jr., who are very proud to carry such a historical flame, now "Mississippi Moses".
